I read it on the internet, it must be true..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwayne_Bowe
On October 16, Bowe was traded to the Miami Dolphins for a 2nd, 5th, and Matt Roth. ![]() |

Two people are having a war. One of them keeps changing it to Baltimore Ravens, and the other back to Miami Dolphins.
It appears the one who was registered has been banned, and the other can't do anything because the page is protected. |

The thing about it is that to replace the sheer talent, you're going to have to dump a first round pick. Late round guys have been productive, but they don't have the sheer talent Bowe has. And who do we have that can replace his production? Wade? Busted-Bradley? A late round draft pick? Bowe caught on quick and was productive early, but most WRs aren't. Posted via Mobile Device |

I tend to agree, but there are other factors involved in a personnel decision. How much money a guy makes, how much he's slated to make, when his contract expires, if he's got a good attitude or is a locker-room distraction, if he's a consistent playmaker or inconsistent and underperforming, if he brings more in trade than his value, etc.,. And that last one is key, 'cause the one thing Pioli learned in New England is that no one is untradeable for the right price. If someone had come along and made the Pats a stupid-good deal for Tom Brady, don't think they wouldn't have taken it in a heartbeat, because Belichick and Pioli both have a long-term view of things. If Pioli feels "Bowe < a 2, a 5, and a LB" then he'll act on it.

I dont think i would be Super upset if this went down... you are getting Roth, who i think would be the best Linebacker on this team... a 2nd and a 5th,
that would put us at a high 1st, 3 2nd rounders a 3rd, a 4th and 3 5ths... that would essentially get us a Playmaking S, a LB who would start, and 3 other players on the first day... and who knows with the 5ths we could use to make our second another first... It would suck to lose Bowe.... but im not sure this would be completely stupid... (edit: i know we already have the dolphns 5th, but just saying, if this went to baltimore...) |

Again, I don't think you trade playmakers, because you really have to make sure you hit on every one of your draft picks, but what I think doesn't matter. If the coaches don't like Bowe and the front office wants to build a team from scratch, they'll probably deal him if they can. Same goes for DJ... |

Now....don't get me wrong. If someone came along and offered a 1st for Bowe.....then I'd have to think about it. But no one is going to do that. |

I would be excited about Roth. But I don't think you're going to get a talent like Bowe in round 2. Even then, there is an even lower probability that he will be able to produce as quickly as Bowe did. So you want to get a guy that hits his stride in 2011 or 2012? Meanwhile for two ****ing years opposing defenses have to double team BOBBY ****ING WADE? Or what? We going to dump a Top 10 pick on Bouldin? Are we gonna get a 30 something washed up guy? IF AND ONLY IF they turn both of those picks into starters and Roth stays healthy and productive would it be close to paying off. The probability of these the above situation coming to fruition is very small. Posted via Mobile Device |
