Nazeeh Johnson

Seriously. Spags has to bench him for this game, right?

I was panicking about him after the texans game when he got 50% of the snaps. Thankfully there was no busted plays because Spags made sure he had help most of the time. Against Buffalo he played 20 snaps but even in those little plays he missed a tackle on Cook for a big gain. Hopefully Williams is out there as he's clearly the more physical guy and can be used on blitzes too. He literally played 20 snaps in the last superbowl so why would Spags exclude him now? The treatment he's getting is utterly baffling to me but in Spags we trust. I expect Watson and Mcduffie to be on the field at all times just like Trent and Sneed was in the last superbowl.

If he's on the field, blitz him. Keeps him out of coverage that way.

He did. But Williams has whiffed on many tackles also. I'd much rather see him in coverage than Johnson though.

Isn't Williams a gunner on special teams? Or maybe I'm thinking of his usage in the past. He should be a better tackler.

He's definitely better in coverage and provides a size advantage against WRs.

The fact that we're even discussing this is mind boggling to me. Williams is a starting CB on at least half the teams in this league, if not more, and yet we keep giving Johnson PT ahead of him. It drives me bonkers.

Love Spags to death, but much like Andy he seems to get hooked on certain dudes who simply don't deserve it. I'm sure Nazeeh practices harder and puts in more work or something else that we don't see from the outside, but damn, I just don't get this one.

He just better not screw up in a crucial situation, because you know if he's on the field he's going to be the one they are targeting.

Coaches are stubborn with some players. Skyy Moore and CEH at least were higher draft picks so I can see how the franchise wanted to save face by not benching them for so long. Johnson should not get playing time over Williams. But he does.

It isn’t Nazeeh Johnson that worries me. It’s Chamarri Conner. He’s been way worse

Yeah, Cook and Conner have both had a pretty rough stretch recently. The difference with them is they've both shown flashes in the past. Johnson has been garbage since the second he stepped on the field.

That blitz he hit on was pretty sweet, but that was mostly just Spags scheming. Other than that, I can't think of one positive thing he's done.

Cook is the one that really worries me!! Seems like he has 2-3 plays a game , specifically on a 3rd and long where he misses assignment or is late.

I'm not sold with Connor at CB. Wasn't he a safety coming out of college? He's looked awkward at times but that's probably not surprising with him being inexperienced and the secondary getting worse after Watson's injury. Same with Johnson. It's nice these youngsters got big snaps all season for their development but McDuffie/Watson/Williams should be the depth chart. The Eagles don't have a slot WR that scares you so it's a game where McDuffie probably stays outside and blitzes occasionally. But yeah, if they can isolate Goedert/Smith/Brown against our Johnson/Connor, the Eagles should attack those matchups. That could be rough. If the Chiefs blitz a lot and don't get home, that will leave their weapons in man coverage. They have WRs that can punish you.

Cook is playing slow since his injury. Which is understandable. Hicks should be taking snaps away from him in the SB. Cook isn't a good coverage safety right now. We need someone more athletic in that position.
