The NFL will reportedly consider measuring first downs electronically in 2025 season

Hmmm. Is this about the Bills again?

Why does it even have to be a quarterback? Dontari Poe is probably just sitting around eating barbecue.

I believe they're referencing the orange padded goal-line type devices set at the LTG.

We've seen video and stills from them during broadcasts.

They didn't really help calm the losers when the billdos came up short on 4th down, but they're a tool that could occasionally provide more information.

Everyone cheers these rule changes because they think it hurts KC. They tend to forget that their team will also be impacted positively or negatively by this. Gonna laugh if Buffalo gets spotted short again or KC picks up a critical first down they might not have due to this technology. No different than increased emphasis on illegal formations because folks reeeed about KC and Juwan Taylor.

So you have the option to pass. You always need the option even if you do it 90%+ of the time. Once in a while you fake and a guy is wide open.

That sounds good in theory but the tush push isn't a normal QB sneak. It would be really hard to throw a pass when you've got 4 guys putting you in a phone booth.

To be fair, have your read people's comments on the internet? Absolute trash. That's why I come to this site for all my news. But you do have to read it.

That mights speed up the game for actual measurement but a ref is still deciding where to place the ball and that’s the larger item.

I heard that if the chiefs win, starting next season the opponents get the ball on the 50 and get 5 downs.

Buffalo still loses for going for it on 5th and 2.

Buffalo just is honestly confused on the first down measurements. They don’t know that the chiefs don’t measure from their asshole to the tip for thr first down like buffalo does

Yeah. The only thing we're losing is watching a bunch of officials standing around the ball peering at it like a parliament of barn owls, and then having the head guy hold his fingers up a few inches apart.

I had to look up what a group of owls is, by the way. I never would have guessed 'parliament'.

I am imagining a group or owls with powdered wigs and black robes.
