The NFL will reportedly consider measuring first downs electronically in 2025 season
Hmmm. Is this about the Bills again?

People online seem to be missing that this is just for measurements, not spotting. That changes the implications dramatically.

Even if they chip balls it can’t determine when the runner is down or forward progress is stopped. There’s just no way technology can work with spots.

Crying Bills fans keep trying to change the rules until they can finally beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.

I'm telling you. We need to pick up a backup QB that can just help us tush push next year for the sole reason that if we get good at it the NFL will ban it.

Nothing to do with TDs.
Since people still aren't grasping this, measuring is when the chain gang runs onto the field. It has historically not been particularly controversial except when it has occasionally involved an index card. Spotting is where all the controversy has come from, which has nothing to do with this rule. |

Ball was in his right arm. Ref at the bottom had the correct spot.

If fans were asked to put a Win, Loss or Cheated. After the end of every one of their team's games. The L would be a very rare bird. Little will change

Yep. I guarantee if the Chiefs would do it a couple times successfully in the SB that the NFL would ban it in the offseason
