The last time UK was the gold standard of anything was 10 years ago (and they lost to Wisconsin in the FF while being so), been a rough decade or so in Lexington

The “rough decade” involved making the second weekend three years in a row and losing in the Elite 8 on a shot with a handful of seconds left and in OT. COVID canceled season won the SEC and the team after 38-1 also won the SEC.

It’s really only been a rough 4 season stretch.
