I’ll always love Alex Smith
I had forgotten how spectacular he was at times for us.

no reason to love him no reason to hate him IMO
he was above average and helped turn things around but you would never win a Superbowl with him, not even the AFCCG. |

Easy to forget that before Alex smith we had the most toxic culture in the history of this franchise. By a mile. We needed to get the winning feeling again. And we needed to get the playoff monkey off our back that even Trent and priest couldn’t do.

Say what you want about his overcautious play, but wow was he a giant step up from the likes of Cassel, Croyle, Thigpen, Orton

Checkdown chickenshit went an entire season without throwing a single TD to a WR. The entire ****ing season. And dipshits here still gargle his balls like we should have been proud of that shit step up to mediocrity.
Mahomes is taking us to our 5th Superbowl in 6 seasons. Smith never could. He was never going to no matter what. Let that sad shit go.

Who cares
Andy reid needed Alex smith too. He wasn’t exactly in a good place either. Not just struggling as a football coach, struggling mentally with losing his son. The city and Andy Reid needed to feel like they could win again. And Alex smith is a great guy to do that. No risk, good enough reward |
