****OFFICIAL Chiefs vs Bills AFC Championship Gameday Thread****

The people of earth once believed their world was flat.

Columbus proved it was round!

They said the sound barrier could never be broken!

It was broken.

We have been chosen to undertake the greatest adventure of all time.

The discovery of the Threepeat.

Our destination is New Orleans.

Which lies beyond the AFC Championship.

Is it possible?

Are we dreaming?

If we are...then life is a dream.

I said I would keep him, but if he prices himself too high, I am fine moving on instead of overpaying.

But, yeah, I think he is a very good tackler, he just isn't very athletic compared to Chenal or previously Gay, etc. The fact that Tranquil is even slower really hurts.

Tranquil is the weak link. He’s a step or two slow (always) and weak AF at the point of attack. I’ve never seen him tackle through anyone one. He meets them and they knock his ass backwards.

Matt Derrick asked coach Reid if he had ever ran 65 toss power trap. Reid responded, yes. We ran it in the AFCCG. It was the direct snap to Pacheco in the second quarter right before the play that Mahomes ran in for a touchdown.

Chenal is fine at the Sam.
Bolton good at the Mike.

Tranquill's decline this year created a weakness at the Will, IMO. He just looks quite a bit slower than he did last season. And I don't expect he's gonna look FASTER next season.

Unfortunately his 2025 salary is guaranteed. If we could get him traded and go get Gay back, I'd like to see it. But obviously the coaching staff disagrees.

I get that he's a smart player, but knowing where to be and actually getting there are two different things. And he seems like maybe he's lost just enough raw speed that he isn't quite getting to those areas like he did in 2023.

Yep. Hindsight being 50/50 and all Tranquill was a bit of a misstep. Don't get what happened with Gay either, he must be a complete asshole or dumbass or a bit of both for Spagnuolo to not like him as much as has been alluded to.
