Rewatching the AFCCG, the one play, I think, that best underlines how expertly this team is coached, is the Perine reception that sealed the victory.

If you look at this formation, Perine is to Mahomes' side. Andy Reid/Matt Nagy know that the mike linebacker is going to mark up Perine. They know this.

They also know, with a trips formation to the far side, that the Bills are going to play man-to-man. Again, they know this, because it's more than possible that this play doesn't work if they're in zone.

So the playcall: they have all three receivers run past the mike. Their route is basically a bunch formation where they're all running the same route: flood the mike.

As a result, the mike has to navigate a forest of six different players -- Chiefs recievers and the corners marking them -- and by the time he's through, Perine has all the space he needs for a reception and to turn up the field. One broken tackle later and the Super Bowl tickets are printed.

This coaching staff outworks you. They out-think you. They out-scout you. And they out-plan you. (And even if that all fails, we have a generational Thanos at quarterback who can create plays out of nothing.)

It has been a very stressful season, trying to exercise the patience necessary for this team to figure out what they can do over the course of four months.

But you can't argue with the results. 15-1, Super Bowl ticket.
