Despite playing like he’s golf buddies with Father Time, Juju is somehow the same age as Watson.

Watson has always played like his roster spot is up for grabs and it has to be the things like this that keep Reid and Veach calling him back after each year.

One interesting thing is that the most complementary I’ve seen the oldheads be of Mahomes (Aikman, Warner, Young) has actually been when he’s been in a rut (whether real or perceived). All QB’s listed above have been critical of him for different reasons, but have come to his defense pretty firmly in these moments.

I think by the time we get to the playoffs, we are talking about this offense as a clear top-4 unit that is really really good and can score 30 on anybody. The path is laid even before you consider Mahomes locking into playoff mode. Upgrade at LT. RB two-headed monster. More speed at WR coming. Worthy developing a rapport with Mahomes.

Overall I think we will be viewing the team much like we did in 2022. And I’m okay with that. Much prefer it to last year where so much pressure was on the defense to be near perfect against everyone they played.
