Sous vide and seared chicken breast. Roasted green beans and grapes. Sous vide is worth it just for chicken breast alone. It’s unassailable. |

Rainy day here and had a LOT of packing to do for my next trip where I'm helping friends move into a house in the southern islands, so it was Bear Creek potato soup. I know it's from a bag, but man is their soup delicious when a couple spices are added...

Kinda sorta mailing it in tonight, got this Korean style udon noodle beef bulgogi kit at Aldi the other day
https://www.pulmuonefoodsusa.com/pro...-bulgogi-udon/ Gonna thin slice a ribeye thats been sitting in the freezer forever to bulk it up, and top it with some fresh scallion |

I'll say, while it has rice instead of udon noodle, I've had a the beef bulgogi kit from Trader Joes (pretty much the same as Aldis) and it hits the spot every time I'd prefer the noodle to be honest https://www.traderjoes.com/home/prod...bulgogi-075283 |

I've only had real bulgogi once at a Korean place in Anchorage AK and it was incredible, if this kit is even close its going to be a real treat |

Ground chicken was on sale so I'm making chicken meatballs with a white wine and mustard gravy and mashed potatoes
No pictures since the meatballs are very ugly. Didn't have breadcrumbs or bread so I had to use quick oats and the meatballs were very wet and wouldn't form balls but they taste good |

I should've taken pics, but still want to just say, that hanger steaks are freaking great. A little oddly shaped and not easy to find, but relatively economical, tender, flavorful, and great texture. I'm buying a half-dozen when I get back to the butcher's in a couple days. If you haven't had one, do yourselves a favor and find one and try it out.
