Getting old sucks

The older you get the less you can trust a fart to not turn into a shart.

Went to a restaurant and said to my wife “must be senior citizens night everyone is old”.
She gave me a look. I says “oh shite”

Was talking to brother on phone while bitching I cab’t find my phone.

Moved recently after retirement. New friends can’t believe I just turned 70 - said I look 50. Feel like 65

Some Arthritis in hands, other than that I feel fairly young.

One of the weirdest things about getting older that I wasn't prepared for, is I feel like I'm slowly becoming invisible to others when I'm out and about.

Used to get looks all the time from members of the opposite sex, and generally felt like people at least "noticed" me. I hope that doesn't sound too vain.

It's just weird. I'll be out shopping, running various errands, interacting with the public, and I feel like NOBODY even knows I'm there anymore. Nobody looks me in the eye, nobody smiles, nobody acknowledges me... It's an odd feeling...

I love the wisdom I've gained as the years have passed on, but mentally, I feel like I'm still in my late 20's or 30's in many ways. Maybe a youthful spirit is a better way to put it?

I remember when I first started getting a little grey in my beard, and boom, within two years, it was totally grey, and now turning white, while the hair on my head doesn't have a strand of grey hair in it, except for a tiny bit near my sideburns/ears. Just seemed to happen overnight. Used to grow a beard all the time, now when I do, I look like I'm ****ing 90 years old!

Well, Saw Palmetto actually works. After 15 years of trying this and that supplement to treat this and that I found out it actually works better than any of the "medicines" I had prescriptions for.

I have about 4 different mushroom powders, plants, extracts, and vitamins at work. They all provide some benefit or another. This girl in her mid 20's was asking "what's that for" over and over like a 5 year old. I told her. Again and again.

She then pointed to one with kavalactones and asked why I take that.
"Fun. I take it for fun."

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

You know you are old when you pull a nose hair out and through the tears you see that it is grey.

I have had the opposite experience. Maybe it's because I am built beyond 98% of people my age compared to being avg build in early years.

I get looks, comments, women grab my arm even when wife is standing next to me, etc...

If you wax your nose you won’t have that problem.

Well from a science perspective it does make sense what you are experiencing. Your brain stopped forming and developing around the age of 26. So that’s why you still think young. However as you noted you have picked up more experience over the years and that will never stop.

Being older and more unnoticeable helps with Shoplifting too lmao. I was watching this show where an older lady comments on how nobody is watching and she successfully steals shit lol
