Look at the best Mecole play of his career. The catch and run against the Titans. That's why they drafted him specfically. Elite speed that translates on the field.

It might've been the wrong move, but McLaurin isn't doing anything like that on a football field. That's all I'm trying to ****ing say.

I think it's also fair to say we see somewhat of a pattern where our offense masterminds a strategy. Next year defenses adapt. Year after that offense makes a new adjustment. Defense adapts next year.

Mecole was a valuable weapon until defenses start to take away the deep stuff. I'd argue we saw signs of that in 2020. But it left us kind of fitting a square peg into a round hole in 2021 where we were finding ways to make it work even though we clearly had a missing piece. This year was a little more unexpected since we arguably should've just been able to replicate last year's approach. But without a doubt defenses have gotten better adapting to our offensive approach. That's part of what we're dealing with. In the future we should be constantly evolving instead of reacting after defenses make their adjustment

We have zero legitimate deep threats and unlike last year, teams are daring us to beat them and we can’t.

Last week they left MVS by himself with a JAG and MVS drops the pass.

JFC this Reerun dumbshit just can’t simply admit that McLaurin > Hardman.

It means that mecole wasn't a bad pick or wrong for the team. He became a worse fit because defenses adapted and we couldn't play fast break offense once they did. We saw that late in 2020 but we stood pat in 2021. That was probably a mistake. This year defenses adapted to our offense. It's no coincidence that buffalo has seen similar challenges dominating out of the 12/13 personnel like they did last year. We still revolve so much of our offense around Kelce and some have argued we could have more proactively addressed that. We will find a way to make it work as we did in 2021 but we will need to evolve again this offseason. To what? We'll see what Reid has cooked up

Drafting good players is also very different from drafting the right fits. That fit may change from year to year depending on how defenses adapt to us

The rest of the league rejected Hardman in the open free agency market this offseason.

In a relatively weak WR market, he could only get a one year/prove-it deal from the Jets… in the second wave of free agency

No, your reading comprehension is just ****ing shit.

Me: McLaurin was obviously the better pick in hindsight, but let's not pretend that he had that extra gear that Hardman had, which clearly is what the Chiefs were looking for.

You: just admit McLaurin > Hardman

Are you ****ing reeruned?

Of course McLaurin > Hardman. That's not the ****ing point.

Why can’t you just say this without all the qualifiers about Hardman’s “gears”, blah, blah, blah?

Because you are a Reeruned life fail who never can admit when the Chiefs are wrong.

Ever.

Can’t wait to read your inevitable defense of Skyy Moore.

The discussion was literally about comparing their measurables when I jumped in you ****ing moron.

Also, I've already admitted that they were wrong about Skyy. You probably still believe I wanted him over Pickens too. You are too stupid to argue with.

Sure but he served a really good purpose when we first got him. I still think hes fine as long as we accept that he's built for a very narrow lane role. Not a lot mecole can do in a Zach Wilson led offense
