You can’t just look at isolated incidents of WRs getting open. We can do that all day long showing CEH having no blocking and blame his problems on the OL. What matters is do they do their job consistently. And the answer is no. We have WRs who get open from time to time which means you’ll have plenty of plays where the guy is open. But if each guy doesn’t get open CONSISTENTLY… why would mahomes put them in front of his progressions. mahomes will be quick to look him off. If skyy doesn’t have breakaway speed he’s gonna be reluctant to take a checkdown that gets closed on quickly. If our WRs dont adjust their route or make good catch adjustments mahomes needs these guys to be wide open to trust throwing to them. Because in a timing and precision offense those small mishaps lead to large mistakes. In a scramble drill you need the wr to be reading what the qb is reading.

Mahomes doesn’t trust his WRs. Reid gameplans early around our WRs. Sure they deserve blame but it’s shocking how much people will place more blame on these 2 HOFers because they want to deflect from WRs just not being very good. The irony is nobody in the media is blaming Reid or mahomes. They unanimously are putting this on the WRs. We’ve got two guys out there taking majority snaps who are not consistently dependable. Think we all know the solution - cut their reps down and put in consistent options. We just need to implement sooner rather than later.

This is dumb. Kelce is bascially your WR1 and gets over 1,000 every year.

JuJu probably could've had 1,000 last year if he stayed healthy all season and never missed time.

The numbers bear it out would be unlikely. He likes to spread it around to keep defenses guessing, he has said that himself in the past.

Hill, TO, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin as a Chief, and Kevin Curtis are the 5 WR's in 24 years. That is pretty crazy to think about.

We've seen this offense get in weird ruts even with Tyreek. I don't think anyone would say this year so far has been a smooth operation.

It's easy to just point the finger at the young guys, but that's a vastly oversimplified view. Inaccurate. The all-22's show it. Sometimes, they're making mistakes. Sometimes not. This shouldn't be unexpected. They're learning.

Mahomes is also making mistakes, the same sort of things we've seen him do in the past when this offense gets in a funk. He's missing easy throws, he's forcing the ball to Kelce, he's not taking the wide open outlet. The thing is, if he does those things, it will open up the deep kill shot that he's wired to lust for.

He's also not 100% comfortable with his protection yet, two new offensive tackles. Both are, on the whole, better than last year's duo (Taylor's weirdness early in the season notwithstanding.)

And being uncomfortable in one area isn't compartmentalized, it bleeds into other areas.

I reject entirely that we have a lack of talent in the WR room. I don't think Veach, Reid, Nagy, and Mahomes are all wrong on the ENTIRE ROOM.

I think there's some confidence issues perhaps on an individual basis among the group. Some making more mistakes than others. Some not getting the snaps they need because higher investment players are in front of them. Toney missing all of camp was clearly an issue, and the weird attempts to manufacture touches for him last game was pretty silly. In other words, they're still figuring it out, collectively.

I don't think it's a coincidence that they've built their best defense while doing this. It seems pretty clear that the organization was aware that this might take a while to sort out.

It's short sighted to say 'these guys suck'. It's impatient. It's reactionary. It's perfectly fine to be disappointed with the production overall, it's fine to say that the offense isn't looking like it's normal self, it's fine to say that perhaps some mistakes have been made.

I'm most disappointed in Moore, personally. He's just not showing much of anything at all. And all while eating a lot of snaps that could have been used for Rice and Ross (yeah, yeah, I'm rooting for Ross).

Toney's usage is not making sense. But I don't think he's suddenly not the same guy he was down the stretch for us last year when he was the most electric player we had.

A wall of text consists of many lines of text that resemble a wall. A wall of text can sometimes be really big or somewhat small. Most walls of text lack grammar so they are not as appealing to read while other walls of text do contain grammar so they are actually easy to read but not as long as if you were to put a bunch of random characters or words. A wall of text might be made out of word bricks which kind of makes sense if you think of each word as a brick but that would be a tall and narrow wall unless you expand it in which case it will be a large wall in general. Most places do not allow walls of text because they count as spam and could get you banned or kicked or muted and will prevent you from posting other walls of text. Some places allow walls of text but that would be weird and probably doesn't exist. If such a platform did exist for creating walls of text and publishing them for viewers then it is probably not popular otherwise I would have seen it by now. You should refrain from posting walls of text because of the reason I stated up there that said that you could get muted for spam and another reason being that it might get a lot of dislikes or even flagged for spam. If you get flagged for spam then you will no longer be able to post walls of text which is pretty reasonable but I think people should be able to express themselves but probably not through walls of text unless you want to. I have come across a few walls of text and some of them are funny but some of them are short and there are rarely any long walls of text. Maybe walls of text were created by early internet users to troll others but that would be extremely slow because you get like a byte per second download and like a bit per second upload or something like that idk I didn't live with dial up so i wouldn't know about the internet speeds but they are probably accurate even though i should fact check that. People who create walls of text probably have a lot of time on their hands or are really boring or both and they might have very long attentions spans or maybe they are entertained by creating a wall of text because it lets them be creative with what they say. My favorite wall of text is titled "regarding walls of text" and it is a fun read because it keeps the user engaged but I don't think it is a wall of text probably more like a narration or documentary through words. Though some walls of text are large, some can be small but equally as annoying. Sometimes small walls of text are considered copy pasta because you can copy it and paste it to insert a copy of that wall of text or copy pasta. Walls of text can also be copied and pasted but what normal person would copy it? That's like copying abnormal copy pasta in a formal setting. Just imagine Jim peaking at your screen that contains a copy pasta while you're supposed to be focusing on the meeting. How would he feel? How would you feel if the roles were switched? Those questions are of course rhetorical but it's good to consider them.

It's really not all that crazy to think about.

If Reid has a 1,000 yard caliber WR, they get 1,000 yards. He hasn't had many of those types outside of the guys you named.

A lot of that was also before he had the greatest QB to ever play the game. Notice you didn't even acknowledge that a healthy JuJu could've had 1,000 last year.

Rashee Rice looks like a potential 1,000 yard WR. I will bet you anything you want that he will halve a 1,000 yard season before his rookie deal is up.
