I think the reality is that our offense is producing and we're winning. Our WR group needs some development over the course of the season but we'll be solid in the playoffs. Sure, I'd love to add an impact player if we can find one but we already have too many mouths to feed in our spread-it-around offense. Although, having another "go to guy" or a homerun hitter would be fantastic.

Can we pleasure trade MVS? lol

What makes you think we will be solid in the playoffs? Mahomes can only do so much. I haven't seen anything that gives me much hope. Skyy Moore isn't going to do much. MVS seems to be the 3rd or 4td read every play. Toney is average. Rice has potential.

I just don't see it. Hopefully I'm wrong and they start killing it soon but idk... They seem to be getting worse each week.

I love how we’ve evolved from shaming people for Reid hating because he has a plan and nobody on cp should dare question him because he knows WRs and we don’t, to today where we are blaming Reid’s playcalling and mahomes regressing because we can’t just say it… that right now our WRs outside or rice are not very good. And maybe they are bad enough right now that our three GOATs can only do so much to protect them - Reid is scheming around them, mahomes doesn’t trust them, kelce is putting his body through the gauntlet because he feels like he has to get 50 targets for our offense to get any kind of rhythm. .

That’s the reality. I’m sure we’ll see plenty of excuses with clips of WRs getting open. That doesn’t matter. If a guy doesn’t get open 80% of the time of course mahomes will be reluctant to look his way and might miss the 20% where they’re opening up. On top of that, most of our guys aren’t on the same page as him - he’s thrown a lot of “errant” passes because our WRs don’t do simple things like flatten their routes or Mvs doesn’t attack the ball in the air or they don’t move where they should in scramble drill. These guys have to be very open for mahomes to want to throw to them. Mahomes doesn’t trust these guys. And either you’re gonna have games like last week where mahomes throws up Favre like passes or you have games like this where mahomes doesn’t want to risk throwing to them at all. Reid’s first quarter script for 3 straight games revolves around throwing to his TEs and RBs so he doesn’t trust these guys either.

It’s the WRs guys. Everyone but us can see it.

I think for now rice has shown enough potential that just making him vulturing snaps from skyy and Mvs will help quite a bit. That and asking kelce to give us one more year of being a target monster until hopefully next year where we find ways to ask him to do just a little less. It worked last year even though this year presents a few new challenges.

We will be fine. But I of course haven’t been shy to say this is just a bandaid. There are underlying problems with our WR depth but for now, we have good enough players to work around them. I hope.

"I don't see anything that gives me much hope...Rice has potential"

You almost had it, dumbass.

And I don't know how you could come away with "they seem to be getting worse each week". Week 1 was by far the worst perfomance from our WRs. The WRs weren't the issue tonight. It was clearly Pat/Andy, and just not finishing drives. They moved the ball fine.

And there it is. Narrative is set. The WRs are fine, it’s just Andy and Patrick making our WRs look bad..

It’s not that the WRs are getting worse. It’s that they aren’t getting better. We moved the ball “fine” because 22 of 39 passes were to our TEs and RBs. Because Pacheco is playing terrific. And because 4 days after kelce got hurt we had to feed him 9 targets. All of this against the worst defense in the nfl.

Skyy and Mvs are still snap eaters with minimal production. Toney has cleaned up the drops but is by and large relegated to a short catch and run guy. Watson is still the same guy - a nice big play target but not a consistent threat. Apart from cleaning up drops these guys have not changed. The only WR who has gotten better so far is Rice. Ross still has upside since he just hasn’t gotten the reps. The rest of these guys pretty much are what they are at this point.

They put up 400 yards of offense and yakked it in the redzone by doing dumb shit.

If there’s a wr out to to trade for, by all means go for it.

But they traded Tyreek and transitioned to a more rounded football team. Here’s the thing guys…..it ****ing worked. This setup is probably better geared to win in the playoffs than those blow it out offenses. They can get stops and lean on the defense if they need to.

Everyone wanted them to “be a dynasty like the patriots”. Well…..from my chair it looks like they are. Not the Randy Moss score all the points but don’t win super bowls patriots, but the Edelman gronk and Brady third iteration patriots.

You know….the one that won 3 super bowls?

JFC it's not a narrative. I'm objectively talking about one game last night. All I said was that they haven't gotten worse every week, not that they've been good enough. You've lost your ****ing mind over this issue dude. Get help.

I'd say Andy going with a tush push behind the long snapper in the redzone and Pat throwing a redzone beachball interception when he's in the grasp......yeah, they probably need some blame for that.

Don't forget Pat missing open WRs because he was locked onto Kelce all night.

Ironically, he missed Kelce wide open in the end zone in the 3rd qtr and we had to settle for 3.

Yea, he missed Kelce once too. Not sure if you're attempting to dispute my point though?

I'm assuming you meant on the scramble left drill?

I don't think he could have fit that one it.

The Offense

Really tired of the media saying letting EB leave was a mistake. Do these people not actual do their job and dive into things? This is the youngest and most inexperienced WR group Mahomes has had. There is going to be growing pains, there is going to be dropped balls, there is going to be incorrectly run routes, there is going to be a lack of chemistry. Not to mention both tackles constantly miss blocks or get called for holding. And you can add on the 8+ big plays that have been called back for a penalty. If EB was still here it would be the same situation, but EB would just be screaming at players, arguing with Patrick on the sideline, and kneeling it to go into halftime with 45 seconds and a timeout.

It sucks the best defense Pat has ever had comes at the same time of having a poor O-Line and inexperienced WRs.
