Well, Burrow has performed at times at a high level with shitty protection too. It's just that his sore thumbs (Aaron Donald/Cheifs AFCCG '22) stick out.

It's not always as black and white as your question implied. I posted some time ago what Burrows stats were when the line was protecting him last year, before all the injuries set in. He was clearly QB1 in that stretch.
