Let's talk day 2

That tight end list really stands out to me. Some really good value at WR, some very good corners as well.

Would love to somehow get Branch.

I think we’re way weaker at safety than a lot of us realize. Mike Edwards is a downgrade to Thornhill and Reid is inconsistent. On the contrary I think we’re stronger at WR than many believe.

I wanted to get some feedback and now that I have I'm convinced he'd make a great RT for the Chiefs.

It's definitely a position group that COULD be shakey. I wouldn't trade up for Branch but if by a miracle he made it to us in R2 I would happily take that

If you want an OT there are several guys who fit what the Chiefs do..

Nick Saldiveri is an OL that is a carbon copy of what the Chiefs like in OL.

I agree that safety isn't great, but I think it's faulty logic to say WR is stronger than we believe while saying safety is weak. If WR is stronger than we believe you're counting on players who haven't really shown anything yet (Moore and Toney) to make a huge leap. Well, you could say the same thing at safety with Cook. Safety and WR are both in the same boat as far as I'm concerned, neither one looks great and are potential weaknesses on the roster.

This is kinda what I meant a few weeks back when I said for a SB team there's a surprising number of ways we can improve. Pretty exciting

I'd rather take Mingo. I like Downs but I'm aiming for upside with the WR room we have now. I don't think anyone is going to really come in and light it up from day one in this offense.

I'm sure they view safety as fine, Reid is a big FA signing, Cooks a 2nd rounder and they brought back Bush while adding Mike Edwards who is a perfect ball hawk style 3rd safety.

Not to pour water on the fire but Tyreek Hill is literally the only WR this team has developed in Andy Reid's entire tenure..so do we think we can actually develop one?

If that's the case...then why are we worried so much about drafting one?

It's a fair question, usually you like to think the higher guys are just more ready and just super raw and need a ton of coaching.

It's still really hard for me not to think this team is Hopkins landing spot, it's the only one left.

Hardman today is largely the same thing he was the day he was drafted. Great athlete with great speed that was good as a gadget.

He never developed as a route runner or really as a WR in general.

I posed this question last night and never got a response but while there seem to be several WR candidates we may have a chance at drafting 'How do those guys compare to Skyy Moore?' And then if we draft a 2nd round WR can we expect a rookie season comparable to Skyy Moore's?
