Young guy from the "hood" gets drafted by an NFL team in New York. Of course he's going to be over the top excited. He's making big money playing a game.
But the honeymoon was over quickly for whatever reason (probably felt he was underused). Now he has the best QB on the planet, arguably the best Coach in the league, and a championship caliber organization. If he can't make it in KC, I doubt he'll make it anywhere

I feel like you are projecting quite a bit. He's been injured for most of his time. That goes back to college, along with his affection for music. I haven't read a single thing about him being unhappy on the Giants. There are questions about how much he actually enjoys football and his commitment to it, not the team he played for.

I seem to remember some wanting the Chiefs to trade up for Jameson Williams,who is still recovering from a major injury.That wouldve took a lot more picks to move up and get him i think.

I don't know if Toney is comparable to him or not,but i'll trust the Chiefs brass that they made an aggressive move and he will be a valuable asset to the Chiefs,not just this season,but hopefully several more.Thats assuming of course he can stay healthy and keep his head screwed on straight.
