If Trent is out until week seven then it would be crazy to not bring in a vet imo. That's just way too long to risk it. Bootle isn't good enough to elevate onto the roster so I'd be looking at Bouye tbh.

I'm told the Chiefs believe there's a real chance rookie CB Trent McDuffie returns Week 6 against the Bills.

McDuffie has been recovering well from a hamstring injury and although he'll need to put together a good week of work, it's possible he plays next weekend

But when it comes to soft tissue injuries, especially ones like hamstrings on CBs, I tend to lean towards "get him 'healthy' - then wait another week..."

They're just soooooo easy to aggravate. Is the risk of losing him for another 4-6 weeks outweigh the reward of getting him back a week earlier?

I'd need a lot of confidence that he's truly completely past that injury before I put him back out there.
