Arby’s is daring you to try what it is calling the spiciest sandwich on the market.

Starting Monday, the fast-food chain is bringing the heat with the new Diablo Dare Sandwich, which comes in two varieties – crispy chicken and smoked brisket.

The chain said the limited-time sandwiches come with five sources of heat: ghost pepper jack cheese, fiery hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos and Diablo BBQ sauce, served on a red chipotle bun

Arby’s said the sandwich is “so spicy, we had to include a free vanilla shake to cool your mouth down between bites.”

The Diablo Dare will be available through Feb. 6 at participating locations nationwide and starts at $5.99, including the free snack-size shake.

“This is not a sandwich for the faint of heart,” Patrick Schwing, Arby’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “Everyone in (the quick-service restaurant industry) says they have a spicy option, but our research tells us that consumers are disappointed by fast food claims of spicy.”

Schwing says Arby’s took that “as a challenge by making sure all different types of spicy – the hot, the numbing, and the lingering are combined to make the Diablo Dare a true test of how much heat you can handle.”

Arby’s also will have a challenge on TikTok with #ArbysDiabloDare. Starting Jan. 18, the chain said fans can go to TikTok and “use a branded effect filter to show their followers how much of the Diablo Dare sandwich they can take before reaching for relief with the vanilla shake.”

Tried to get some of the Melinda's Ghost Wing sauce and they were sold out. I'll have to keep it in mind though - anything that offers a bit of a change from Franks is worthwhile. I like Franks well enough but it's just such a common flavor at this point. It can get a little boring.

I like Inner Beauty hot sauce, especially on chicken or fish. Another dude took it over though and reduced the kick. Don't get me wrong it's still good but neutered down from the original.

Mike Murphy an old KC talk radio guy always talked this up from his friend who invented it. I had the recipe once and lost it on an old computer. Discovered again from Breville and the originator Chris Schlesinger. Give it a try but you will find scotch Bonnets hard to find.

Daebak Ghost Pepper noodles.

These fall in between the original and Samyang 2x noodles. The real problem is that I got the hiccups just as I started eating them and that created issues. They also don't taste as good as the Samyangs. The heat isn't as intense but lingers longer and builds more. Then it just becomes that hot for hots sake thing.

Definitely prefer the Samyangs. Just a more enjoyable experience all around.

Being trapped inside a room listening to people inhaling noodles is my personal hell.

Would be way more intense than any level of spice could achieve.

I found some stuff called '18 Prohibited Curry' that costs a fortune online because there aren't any local distributors.

I ain't spending $40 on a bag of Ramen, but evidently these are pure hellfire. The folks that laugh at these Samyang things are like "nah, won't be eating those again..." I found one review that said "hey, I'm from Mylasia and have been eating the hottest foods I could find all my life - this isn't good. This isn't even safe..."

That appears to be the current gold standard of death ramen.

Ughhh....my wife will put these videos on just to **** with me. She knows i absolutely HATE the sound of people eating. Especially the mouth breathing, inhale variety. I have the same irritation with people eating/chewing. Like nails on a chalkboard.

And my wife and son love those mukbang videos where the people have mics right up against their mouth while eating...slurping noodles and chewing crispy fried chicken. It almost sends me into a seizure if I get ear of it.

My wife's favorite candy is Milk Duds (wtf?), the most laboriously chewy candy on the market. Like takes a good 30-45 seconds to get through one.

She'll get them every now and again for movie night and each time she grabs one I'll kick the volume up all aggressively just to let her know that I noticed and to make it quick.
