So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

Jeff Gladney is my other one, lots of scheme versatility here and is very competitive, real nice fit for the Chiefs.

Now for a mid round guy, I'm a huge fan of Amik Robertson, 5'8 outside CB that ran in the 4.4s dude has serious swagger and plays like it. No fear, plays much bigger than he is. Just so much edge to his game and you can see how much he wants it.

Love the absolute no fear he shows of that 4.35 receiver in that clip.
Jesus! That dude from Louisiana Tech thumps some people!!!

Zierlien, who does up the scouting reports on NFL.com has Amik Robertson slightly graded above Fulton, Noah, Dantzler and Arnette.
The biggest knock on him is his 5’8” height. Played mostly outside but translates to a slot corner in the pros.

I love his game - scrappy little bastard...

I also disagree with the notion that corner is not a big need. We have Ward, Fenton and Breeland and not much else.

Breeland also missed some time sporadically with injury, which fortunately wasn’t major.

Doesn’t have to be the first pick, but I think it’s very much a need. I’m fine with CB, LB and offensive weapon being our first 3 picks.

In today's NFL you never have enough cover DBs.

Oh, I think it's a need but since the Chiefs re-signed Breeland, they're bringing back three of their most effective CB starters, it's less of a priority than it was just last week.

Now, if they can trade back and end up with two 2's, two 3's or two 4's, then hell yeah, that opens up a lot of possibilities, including a LB, RB, CB and WR with their first four early picks. But until then, WR, RB and LB take precedence, IMO.

I shudder to think about a season in which Darrel Williams and Darwin "Award" Thompson end up starting 8 games or more in 2020.

I’d like to see us draft LB Logan Wilson in the 3rd round.

Veteran runningbacks can almost be found or traded for to fill a need if necessary. Cornerback, not so much. There's a reason a team like the Rams traded two 1sts for a cornerback and no team would consider that much in a trade for a runningback. Corner is a more valuable position. I'm fine with someone like Swift in the 1st if that's BPA, but only if they feel they can grab a corner in 2 or 3. A runningback in the 3rd or 4th can likely hit the ground running more so than a corner taken later.

Read between the lines when Andy say's "I really trust Darrell Williams". And Darrell plays big when BIG is needed (a la Balt game). Darrell will be on this team I assure you.

WTF? This team needs to draft CB, LB and OL. What is NOT to understand? Forget any other position. Be real!

I've been trying to explain. They don't listen!

Especially DaneMcCloud. Lol

Sure they can draft a RB but not before round 2 and most likely round 3 or 4.

I'll take a bet anyday that they do not take a RB at #32. Not that it is completely out of question but it is very unlikely and with good reason.
