In the first half of the Packers game, the Chiefs D held the Packers RBs to about 3.7 yards/carry. Got progressively worse from there. But with only 3 DTs, not sure how much better they could do.

Pennel did play by the way. Two tackles in relief. Kinda slow off the snap, but probably normal considering he hasn't been in a game in a year.

I believe Collinsworth mentioned a couple of times how quickly Rodgers was getting the ball out. Despite that, and without 2 key pass rushers, still delivered 5 sacks against a HOF QB.

I think your missing the overall point that we have seen progressive improvement from the defense. Still some work to do, but every unit front to back seems to be playing more as a team.

People crying because we gave Rodgers a short field and it took a Rodgers type pass to score 31 and then cry because Rodgers didn't give the ball back in 5 minutes.

I mean, it's like Aaron Rodgers might be good or something....

Frankly the defense has looked better without Jones. Yeah, we got trucked a bit by Indy and Houston on the running plays but it has since shaped up. It was speculated that Jones was blowing is run assignments.

I will say this, right now I'd trade (too late) or let Jones walk. Maybe tag him if we can get anything for him but right now pass rush isn't something we need to focus on.

We need LB's in the worst way.

Get the **** out of here. We've played 3 playoff teams in the last 4 games.

Our easiest games were Denver and Denver. Jags are not out of anything even with Minshew and the Raiders are not nearly as bad as we think or hoped.

Agreed!! Unless Jones somehow pulls out his dick again and refuses to be selfish and actually play his assignment and stop the run, then I say let him walk. Tag and trade

By the end of the year when we look back, I think we’re gonna see a drastic difference from weeks 1-6 and 7-16. It was to be expected that the changeover in personnel and coaching would require a drastic learning curve. IMO, The real test is if we’re gonna be able to bring Jones back and have the defense take the next step or not against the pass while continuing to improve against the run. It’s also gonna be interesting to see how Daly works that changeover because Saunders has been phenomenal thus far.

We were much better against GB than I expected. Once our dline without any depth became gassed late we were bad, but we made them punt three times. I think their offense is better than Houston. That is an improvement.

I want to see Jones back in there with the DL as it's been playing the last two games; see what happens. Based on how they are playing these past two weeks, if he really is schematically weak against the run, it'll show up like a sore thumb.

But I'm hoping (practically praying) that he fits in and our run D actually gets even better. There's no question that of the DTs we have, he's the most athletic/explosive. He could change our season.

They didn’t include the GB game since this is up to the 22. With GB we are probably like 10th or so. Bucs have essentially played Saints, 49ers, Panthers, Giants and Titans and Rams.
