At long last, an incomparable and unparalleled day is upon us, Planeteers.

The Patrick Mahomes II Era begins with this game. May the Bolts fizzle and sputter as expected and may the New Chiefs begin their rise to greatness in dramatic fashion.

In lieu of a bunch of secret spoiler deals, I have composed a brief poetism in honor of the occasion. May it meet with your approval. Ahem ...

Horseshit.

If those guys can't recover from being beat, then they were NEVER going to be what we needed anyway.

Corners get beat. Big whoop. If that ruins your psyche then you're not an NFL caliber corner.

I expect to see these young guys play as the season goes on. Once they're more comfortable with the scheme, and once scamdick gets beaten like a drum a few more games.

You can legit ruin someone if you put them in a spot they aren't ready for, Tremon Smith is from a little bitty school, it's not like he's from Texas or something.

There is a huge laundry list of guys that were highly drafted that were ruined by coaching staffs and here we are with lowly drafted or UDFA rookie CB's that people want to play in the 2nd week of the year...see how that may be asking a little much?

How about neither. Tremon Smith showed 10 times more potential in camp and preseason- plus he is the second fastest guy on the team.

Scrandrip was burned on a head nod during the Bears Preseason game, looked terrible.

Now gives up 2 walk in TD's because he chases the first fake and does not have any speed to recover. He is going to cost us a game- and it could be this week. You know the Steelers are watching those busted coverages and licking their chops how easy it will be to score.
