Fans like winning. Regular and post season winning. KC has the 3rd best team win % over the last 5 years.

Just a shame that key players heavily counted on get injured for every playoff game. Yet another playoff game where a WR can't come up with a big catch. The officials make it all the more difficult with horrendous calls. The run game can't carry their weight.... the defense can't get a stop in the second half... and this QB could not carry them enough.

Oh well.

At least the Alex and Andy show upgraded KC from laughing stock bottom-dweller to being a top 5 AFC team year after year. It's not everything one could hope for... but it's better than being what they were.

I'm not saying Alex isn't at fault. I'm asking how many of those plays where Smith ran around looking lost, or just refused to pull the trigger would've gone to Kelce? 3? 4?

That's enough to alter the game, IMO.

But yes, a franchise QB doesn't let losing one player affect them so much.

Always the excuses. We never have a healthy offense, Players not playing up to salaries, Player x hurt, Smith did all he can with the talent around him, 13 years of sub par players around smith.

The list goes on and on as to why smith can never win in the playoffs.

Having a threat like Kelce alters the defense. If prior to the game, people are asked which players KC absolutely must have available to them?

I'm pretty sure Kelce is named in the top 4 by everyone.. and should be.

I think a few excuses are valid. Smith is a good winning QB. He has games where for a half or so he becomes extremely mediocre. Big moments and situations seem to get in his head. That's unacceptable. I think what ever team he goes to (even the Browns) will get better because of him. I don't expect those teams to get any farther than he took the Chiefs.

For those that suffered through what happened in the 90s, it's not as easy to take as someone who became a fan of the team 5 years ago.
