No. This is a clear sign that the regime isn't "all in" on winning a Super Bowl this year.

They are preparing for the future.

It will be interesting to see if Reek can handle drawing the opposition's top corner every week now.

He needs to start doing more WR things and less "gadget" things. Almost half of his receptions were behind the line of scrimmage last year.

They've been drafting a lot of WRs in the top four rounds. Usually, you'd expect players drafted that high to compete as a starter. Looks like it's time.

Robinson's combine notes:
Immensely talented with elite combination of straight-*line speed and quick*-twitch athleticism. Robinson flashes game*-breaking potential as a deep ball threat and after the catch, but was suspended by two different coaches over a three-year period. While Robinson is likely to test off the charts and has the talent to be a top four receiver in this draft, it is hard to imagine his draft slot equaling his talent due to his character concerns.

WR2 - Conley
WR3 - Robinson

That's likely not that bad. All need reps before playing with Mahomes. Tons of athleticism there. Hill is your guy to take the top off, and the other two can too but they are likely to be reliable, big targets underneath.

Yeah, no, that's pretty awful. Defensive coordinators will take that kind of lineup every Sunday in the NFL and count their blessings.

They have a lot to prove.

It doesn't matter, though, because Alex Smith gets the same out of every wide receiver whether they are Chris Conley or Cris Carter.

You have never been more wrong. This move prepares us now and especially for 2018. Most wide receivers have their breakout season in year two, after learning the Offense. Robinson will not be a high volume guy so long as Kelce, Reek, Conley, hunt/Ware do their jobs. His potential this season will be to get the same volume as what Harris got last year. If that.

Reek and Kelce will be 900- 1100 yard guys

This was said by mutliple draft gurus last year. Like Reek, Robinson isn't your average day 3 talent.
