That's not a bad thing. He's a good player. But he's not going to win the line of scrimmage running downhill. We need guards that consistently can. We do not have those guards right now, though I'm comfortable with a wait-and-see on Ehinger. |

I dramatically underestimated the strength of the Chiefs locker room -- Berry, Parker, Emmitt Thomas and Andy Reid have done a ****ing outstanding job keeping Peters worst excesses in check. I've said this before but the Chiefs must have the best locker room in the NFL, and that makes picks like Peters far less risky. But I digress. I think you make a fair point. I just think you're undervaluing what even just ONE Pro Bowl caliber guard could do for this offense. You'd have Morse-Feeney-Schwartz on the right side -- the line of scrimmage would be ours; we would be able to run at will on almost anybody. Which would open up everything on the offense. Maybe Ehinger is that guard, but I don't see it. And you certainly can get a Pro Bowl caliber guard later in the draft, but I really, really love Feeney and think he has All Pro potential. Let's call Dee Ford "very good" for now, and try this exercise: An elite guard would have a greater impact on the 2017 Chiefs than a very good WR, or a very good DL, or a very good ILB. A very good CB or QB, however, would easily trump the elite guard, however, ***IF*** one is there. |

Greatest impact on the 2017 Chiefs, assuming these are our choices:
very good CB very good QB elite OG very good ILB very good WR very good DL My prediction is that Dorsey will draft DL, however, because his track record is to think a season or two down the road. |

I'm not on the Cunningham train, first of all. Second of all, we'll have DJ back by playoff time. Third of all, Ramik, Mauga, March and Alexander/Smith can get us by just fine until DJ does return, so long as we're not playing all backups at DL like we did for parts of this year. |

Using JD's history, they'll probably franchise Poe and draft a NT or ILB

You showed zero evidence to back up your argument that Fisher isn't winning the line of scrimmage when the Chiefs try to run the ball downhill.

You know your ILB crew is shit when Mauga is the prized jewel of the group. We don't know when DJ will be back or if he'll ever be the same. Dude was slowing down before the 2nd blow out. But yeah, I also am not a fan of a guy that was flying around and making big plays on a shitty Vandy squad. |

Secondly, Mauga is a solid fundamentals player. His weakness is staying healthy, always has been. |
