Colin Cowherd compares Chiefs to waste management and he’s kinda right

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2016/1...-s-kinda-right

Colin Cowherd has a comparison for the Kansas City Chiefs that is actually a good one. The Chiefs are the waste management company of the NFL.

“If you met a guy at the waste management party, he could be the most successful guy but it’s not something you’er really interested in or would ever want to talk about. Why I bring this up is the Kansas City Chiefs are the waste management business in the NFL. It dominates its industry.

“Nobody wants to talk about it. You’d never talk about it at a cocktail party. Outside of Kansas City, you’d never go up to anybody and say, “Hey ,what about the Chiefs?” You’d go what about the Patriots, man I hate Aaron Rodgers, man I love Cam, Andrew Luck’s overrated, how ‘bout them raiders. Nobody goes, ‘What about the Chiefs?’

“The Kansas CityChiefs are boring and unbelievably effective. They’re not interesting and nobody talks about them. They are now the best team in a very sexy AFC West. John Elway, Von Miller, Broncos! Nope. Derek Carr, resurgent Raiders! Nope.

“Kansas City is a Super Bowl level team. I know you’re going to say, what about Alex Smith? He has won 60 of his last 84 starts, that’s 71 percent. That’s a higher winning percentage than Bill Parcells had as a head coach. Andy Reid’s last 10 years. Nine winning seasons. You don’t want to talk about that either.

“When you add Tyreek Hill, when you add Travis Kelce, when you add Andy Reid and when you add this defense, most of which you don’t know these guys, that’s a Super Bowl level team. That doesn’t mean they’re going to get there, doesn’t mean they’re going to win it. This is the business nobody wants to talk about.”

Bonus quote: “Outside of Bill Belichick, Andy Reid is the best coach in the AFC.”

Yep, beating the Broncos and Raiders is the same as taking out the trash.

Second, why would anyone think the Chiefs are boring? They've won several of the most exciting games in the NFL this year. They generate turnovers, make amazing runs, and have the fastest man in the NFL. Even the Chiefs' punts are exciting when Colquitt does his perfect placement.
It's the narrative. Do you think even half the media watches Chiefs games?

Andy is a successful coach, but not a dominating one. He has great capacity to field a competitive competent team. He falls into the B+ category and not the A range due to his play calling. He gets his guys ready to play, and he knows how to spot talent. His game management is where it gets questioned. I understand he hides the play book through the season as much as possible to save it come playoffs.. but it's a weakness

As a person from the west coast.. there's not a person on that team that draws attention, personality wise, that makes anyone raise an eyebrow way over here. They are a quiet team.

How didn't they make mistakes. They had way more turnovers during that era than the Chiefs do now.

His play calling, at times, is some of the best in the game. When the plays click, he's downright brilliant.

His exceptional use of horizontal play designs does an effective job of keeping defenses off balance. His jet sweeps, fake end arounds, delays, and screens all keep the DL and LB's guessing, and it quickly gets the ball into his playmaker's hands. He's broken out everything from 5-wide to the wildcat. 3TE's, I-Form...defenses have a lot to prepare for.

He has built a roster loaded with speed, completely designed on deception and getting the ball out quickly, and speed + a confused D can create some serious mismatches and big plays. His short game is very creative and difficult to defend.

He's shown the willingness to go for it on 4th down (successfully), and the fortitude to call goal line plays to Poe & fake punts.

I love the fact that he defers the kickoff to half time. Deferring at kickoff allows you to create a 14 Point swing before the opposing offense takes the field. If you can pull it off, it's huge.

He's also very, very good and winding down a 4th quarter lead. He understands the strengths of this team and leans on them.

The guy is one of the best. Period.

No, he's not perfect. But it's gonna be damn hard to find better. As long as Dorsey keeps tossing him talent, he'll find ways to use it. You can bet on that.

Honestly, after watching the Chiefs for this long, i find other teams boring.

There's some very bland play calling out there.

People call the Chiefs boring...those people don't get it. We're one of the few teams that can score when any phase of our team is on the field. Offense, Special Teams and D....any given moment we can score. Big plays waiting to happen all over the field with this team. We don't have to wait for a 40 yard bomb to get our hearts going.

ya, I've noticed that, too....

ST's and the Defense scoring too is exactly what you want.

.....a real TEAM mentality brewing.

Not sure if being trolled. The nicest thing the national media has to say about this team as a whole is wereally garbag men. Whatever it's steady work and pays more than the couch right?

I don't understand how anybody who has watched them this year could think this. They've had multiple double-digit comeback victories, they have a knack for huge turnovers, they've won multiple overtime thrillers, they had a game-winning pick-2, they've had multiple kicks returned for touchdowns, they've had several defensive touchdowns and safeties, etc. etc. etc.

How is that boring?
