Is it time to start Foles over Smith?

Pathetic.

He's played poorly today

Thoughts?

Nick Foles reminds me of 2015 Brock Osweiler. Big arm, not really that mobile, can't do the small things well. He's in a good system with a good coach helping him succeed.

If Foles was better than Alex then Reid would start him. Period.
Starting Alex Smith is a Safe move on your coaching career.
Alex does anything to avoid that INT stat. He won't take chances and he will bore the shit out the viewers, BUT he will do just enough not to lose and he will keep your team at a mediocre status that will keep you around.

Foles will take chances and let his playmakers make plays. It most likely will come with more interceptions over time, but it could also take the offense to an elite status.

If Foles starts throwing INTs and losing games, Reids paycheck will suffer from it. I think Reid starts Alex Smith because he is not much of a gambler.

Keep your team at mediocre? Plenty enough flaws about Smith, but how have the Chiefs been mediocre over this 4 yr stretch? Wouldn't mediocre be a consistent 8 win team?

Could be just a play on words, but KC teams have been better than mediocre with Smith at QB. The big hangup with them has been injuries to key players, and at the worst of times.

Nobody here should give a shit about this old, recycled 49ers talk.

Actually, at the time Alex got hurt the 49ers were playing the best football seen in awhile. What you're forgetting is that for the rest of the season the read option was en vogue. Hell even rg3 looked like a god. It took one off-season and the NFL adjusted and the 49ers quickly fell into nothingness.

Some might consider it being a quitter, but I don't feel we have the right to judge the decision. It's a violent sport, and each person has the right to say enough's enough.

At any rate, Mrs Smith is happy... Mr Smith will quickly learn to be happy. All the haters happy. No more need for the Smith Wars. I can chuckle at the incoming excuses for the next QB(s). Win-win.

See what happens with Foles. He may turn out great.. or there could be a twisted and tragic irony around the corner.

Be smart, Alex. Find better things to do.

You always become so dramatic and butthurt.

Alex only fans, they'll leave BB once Alex is gone. It's another reason that Foles is a welcomed addition.

The offense was never better than it was in the 2012 playoffs. Blame it on the RO not being figured out or what have you but that was it's height, period. And they fell into nothingness when they fired Harbaugh. They still made a deep playoff run after the 2012 season.

Osweiler has become a check down champion. He is the Matt cassel version of Nick foles. Foles will miss a few because of inaccuracy or not getting through his progressions fast enough. But he's a much more aggressive qb than brock. Brock has been an utter disaster for a team that has tons of offensive talent

Why is this even a debate? Alex is 18th in ypg and 22nd in touchdowns.

This team can win with another solid starter. It doesn't need a 70 million dollar game manager.
