Help me become a country person

Lived in Texas now for some time. Find country people to be cool. I've bought some guns, but I was in military so no biggie. I'm now drunk and googling shit like Remington 700s and Toyota Tundras.

Where do I start? I'm a good person and find most of my friends are good people that are from a completely different background. I can't stand city people anymore and think their pretentious behavior is pure muppetry.

Agree that country is a state of mind. And might I add, a conservative state of mind. I don't just mean politically (although it applies as well) but conservative when it comes to trucks. By that I mean, the whole Toyota Tundra is a new thing. Country people don't care if it's made in SA, it's not a ford, dodge, or chevy, so we're skeptical of it. You can argue about it all day but you'd just come off looking like an ass to someone set in their ways.

Do you have a New York accent? Even slightly? Do you have to work to cover it up? That will betray your origins faster than anything.

Are you the dude that got into a fight at a youth league sporting event?

I thought tooge was the chokester.

I watched some little league football this year and decided when my son is old enough to play I'm coaching.

I wanted to slap a couple coaches over the way they talked and put their hands on those little first through third graders
