Alex Smith = Playmaker

Just an amazing job in this first half of football to weather the storm of losing Charles and stepping his game up to a level many of us thought we would never see.

Worth every penny of 2 second round picks.

If they give him an extension next week, I'm ok with it.

Yep. My entire dislike of Alex D. Smith was based around the fact I thought he would be useless in the postseason.

Shit, he was the only reason we had a chance today.

Here is the post that should end this stupid debate.

Raise your hand if when Jamal Charles laid on that turf, and Andy Reid walked out, if you said, pfff, no big deal. We got this.

There are no hands raised, and if it is, you are full of shit. I am the biggest PRO ALEX SMITH GUY on the planet. For those who don't know, when I started here, my user name was ALEX SMITH FAN. And im NOT a troll account.

I said, the Chiefs are ****ed.

They scored 44 points without Jamal Charles.

The qb threw 4 tds, no picks, and 380 yards and accounted for about 440 yards of offense.

That's FRANCHISE qb numbers.

If we get Kelce back healthy and add a tight end like Amaro or Ebron or a receiver like Lee, this offense is gonna explode next year.

Alex will have 4000+ yards and 30+ touchdowns.

Not saving a good tight end held us back most of the year.

Honestly, no bullshit here, I thought the Chiefs still weren't out of it. I think Davis is quite talented and I didn't (still don't) think the Colts' defense is very good.

Did I think it would limit the playbook? Yes. Did I think it would kill any dynamism the Chiefs' offense had? Yes. I still thought they could win though.

Now, you answer me this: with a 28 point lead and basically the entire second half yet to play; isn't it still the offenses responsibility to be efficient and put points on the board? (The Chiefs scored a total of 6 points after the Davis TD reception BTW)

I think people underestimate that point. Fasano, and McGrath are okay. But they offer almost no game changing ability.

Remember that 3rd and Short where they ran that middle screen to Fasano? That was the slowest four yards in the history of football. It was timed with a sun dial.
