Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable said during his press conference Monday, Dec. 1, that he did not regret calling a fake field goal which resulted in a touchdown for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. "I don't regret it. I don't think you can," Cable said. "Otherwise I don't think you make it in the first place. So there's no sense in doing that… It worked every time (in practice), and that's the shame of it all. But it's like I mentioned a few weeks ago, if you take a chance like that and it works, everybody thinks you're a genius. When it doesn't, everyone wants to chew on your butt."

I don't think there's anyone in the world who would ever want to chew on his butt. Even if he runs that stupid fake field goal play every down for the rest of the season, I would still not want to chew on his butt.

Also, if he ran that stupid fake field goal play every down for the rest of the season and scored a TD on it every time, I (and everyone else) would know that he isn't a genius.
