ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe Accused of Raping Woman Multiple Times in Lawsuit — Alleged Victim Seeking $50 Million

A woman sued Shannon Sharpe for $50 million after alleging the former NFL star has raped her multiple times since the end of 2024.

The lawsuit was obtained and reported first by TMZ. In it, the unnamed woman claimed she met Sharpe — who signed a multi-year deal with ESPN last June — regularly at a gym in Los Angeles in 2023. She added that Sharpe joked that he would “buy her fake tits” during their first interaction, then proceeded to pursue her “relentlessly.” Soon after, a consensual but “abusive” relationship began.

The report continued:

“He demanded complete control over her time and body,” attorney Tony Buzbee wrote in Doe’s suit, “expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called.”

Doe claimed there was one argument in particular that terrified her — when he yelled at her while a firearm was visible in the room.

“Plaintiff tried sharing her location with friends from her iPhone — just in case,” the docs state. “But Sharpe saw her doing this. The moment he realized what she was doing, he grabbed her by the neck and told her, ‘If you ever do that again, I will f***ing kill you.'”

When Sharpe mistakenly streamed a sexual encounter on Instagram, the woman attempted to end the relationship. Instead, she alleged, Sharpe raped her in October 2024. She claimed Sharpe assaulted her again in January 2025.

At the time of writing, Sharpe did not respond to the allegations.
