They kind of look like a long bowling pin. It appears only 2 players use them. Jazz Chisolm and someone else. Judge hit 3 homers yesterday but uses his old bat.

Total youth participation in baseball has declined 20-25% over the last decade, but it still has a very healthy foundation. I don't think it's dying. One study below, but I've seen other similar studies that backup and validate these findings.

That's got nothing to do with it. It doesn't translate into lifelong fanship. If my kid said he wanted to play baseball I think I might shoot myself.

The average age of your baseball fan just keeps going up. The game is too long and it's boring. They play too many games and any individual game means absolutely nothing. The Yankees beat the Brewers. who cares? It doesn't matter.

I love baseball. Played as a youth, Coached competitive little league teams up to high school. Been a fan for 60+ years.

They need to leave the torpedo bats in the game. It needs as much offense as it can generate.

They need to put a cap like football has in place. Sure, we will probably lose a whole season or more to get the players to accept it but who wants to go back to the LA and NY teams winning every year like the 50's?

And that's a huge issue too... The way the league is designed it's inherently unfair.

You want a spice baseball up add a relegation system... Bottom teams head to the minors.... Top teams in the minors head up to the majors and get an infusion of cash in the process. Get this s*** bird organizations like the Rockies out of it.

Teams have tried them. They don't make a difference.

Nestor Cortes is why yesterday happened. That's a bandbox park and god-awful pitching the last 2 days. The bats have nothing to do with it.
