The NFL will reportedly consider measuring first downs electronically in 2025 season
Hmmm. Is this about the Bills again?

People online seem to be missing that this is just for measurements, not spotting. That changes the implications dramatically.

I see you call out people not understanding this multiple times and 99% of the comments are about this fixing where the ball is spotted lol. It's not like this thread is 100+ comments deep. There are like 20 comments and people can't be bothered to read other people's comments. |

Seems that most are not reading the article and tbf if you did read the article, then you'd see that the person that wrote it is confused by what this actually is. He seems to think this would have helped on the Josh Allen 4th down play, but it wouldn't. All they're wanting to do is take away measurements with the chains. The refs are still the ones responsible for determining where the ball is placed.

Even if they chip balls it can’t determine when the runner is down or forward progress is stopped. There’s just no way technology can work with spots.

NFL considering making it illegal to pass rush against Josh Allen in 2025.

I'm telling you. We need to pick up a backup QB that can just help us tush push next year for the sole reason that if we get good at it the NFL will ban it.

Yep. I guarantee if the Chiefs would do it a couple times successfully in the SB that the NFL would ban it in the offseason
