I'm quietly hoping the Chiefs draft him in the mid rounds but I don't know where he's expected to go in the draft.

I'm seeing him around our pick in the 4th pretty regularly now.

His “long speed” has been a question mark but his 10 yard split was really disappointing.

I think we need more burst unless we grab him late.

Devin Neal measured in at 5'11" 213, ran a 4.58 with a 1.59 10-yard split, 37.5" vertical, and a 10'4" broad jump.

Here's how his scouting report from Zeurlein reads:

Overview
Workload runner with NFL size and four years of steady production to help elevate the program. Neal runs with a nice blend of patience and decisiveness to choose the right lanes and maximize each carry. He lacks top-end burst and speed, which will shrink the field for him, but he’s a fall-forward runner with good contact balance and a nose for short-yardage conversions. He has good instincts and soft hands in space and can help as a leak-out or swing-pass option. His blue-collar approach isn’t exciting but it is effective and Neal has the ability to develop into a backup three-down back.

Kareem Hunt measured in at 5'11" 216, ran a 4.60 with a 1.58 10-yard split, 36.5" vertical, and a 9'11" broad jump.

Here's how his scouting report from Zeurlein read:

Overview
Big back with plus vision and enough elusiveness to make the first defender miss. Feel for the rushing lane helps him choose the correct path between the tackles but lacks the burst to turn the 4-yard run into 14. Zone-scheme runner with serviceable hands out of the backfield. Adequate in most areas and has talent to become a backup that can step in and handle a bigger load if needed

Hunt has longer arms and bigger hands, but all else being equal, they do look and sound very, very similar.

It's early but give me Josh Conerly Jr, LT Oregon

I really liked Troy Fautanu last year and Conerly is in that similar mold.

Was the top offensive lineman in high school football in 2021 and a 5-star recruit.
Was a First Team All-American this year.
Next step, All-Pro for your Kansas City Chiefs.

My guy is SMU HB Brashard Smith, in the 4th or 5th.

I think he’s the kind of versatile gadgety playmaker Andy really loves.

Not expecting a super star, but he’d be a great replacement for McKinnon as our 3rd down back.

Looks like a good one to pin your hopes to. Probably in the top 15 RBs in this class and one that seems more reasonable for KC to actually take given that he won't be a 1st or 2nd round guy.

Yeah he's day 3 or potential UDFA but I love the kid's approach to the game...his mental makeup. He's like a mini-Kareem lol! I'm looking forward to seeing where he goes.

Johnny Walker Jr DE Mizzou, 3rd round pick. He killed it at the senior bowl and has moved up the draft board. 9.5 sacks this year and 43 tackles.

Walker has some talent, that's for sure. But he's been prone lose his cool and get some boneheaded penalties. If they can coach that out him though, he could be a force.
