The real culprit for how bare this team is talent wise is Vermeil's drafts.

You can't have a span of 3 years where you get 1 impact player and think you're just going to keep rolling along.

But I bet Ree-tardKC will be along to tell me how that's Herm's fault for not consulting with Vermeil during those drafts.

that is correct. DV sold this team out by aquiring upper aged vets through trades and FA, while doing that he failed to set himself up for the future.

He knew he was retiring in a few years and put all his eggs in his basket. He didnt care about the long term success of the chiefs. He only cared about his team and season at that time.


Still dont know why you think Herm should of consulted DV, that is a strange stretch...

Herm is looking ahead, something Carl has never done. No matter what, Herm will end his coaching career here in KC based on game day issues, not talent and players developed.

To be completely fair, isn't that exactly what a Head Coaches job is?

The responsibility for the long term health of the franchise is the Owners and GM's.

A head coaches job is on the line every season.
