McCaffrey gets new deal averaging $19 million

These deals this off-season have been nuts. Insane that he is higher up than Kelce in AAV

I don't understand how teams are supposed to pay everyone when so many are getting these massive deals.

Not to mention they're paying that much money for a RB who is white. Who does that? / UCHIEFYBURGER

They all have the money. Then it just becomes who's best at circumventing the cap.

Not really. It’s 2 years and Brock doesn’t need to be paid until after that is through

He's already under contract for 2 years, this extension doesn't kick in until after that, if I'm reading it right.

So they've got him for 4 years about 68 million?

They have some WR to pay coming up don't they? And he is RB, I don't care how good he is he isn't worth $19MM AAV.

They'll trade Deebo and pay Aiyuk I'd imagine, but CMC is such a weapon, I'd probably have paid him.

Yeah - they can't really lose CMC. He's uniquely well-suited for their offense.

He's not a RB in the purest sense of the word - he's an offensive weapon. In an era where elite WRs are getting $35 million, it seems paying $19 million for a guy you can use in the passing game OR between the tackles is a better use of resources.

He's a real problem to deal with.
