What in the **** are the Lions doing?

I know they are 3-1

But why in the world did you spend a top 15 pick on a RB if you were just gonna give David Montgomery 35 carries?

It’s objectively hilarious to me that they let a 22 year old, clearly talented RB go for a fourth rounder. But spent the 12th overall pick on another shifty RB. All to just give Montgomery 35 carries a game lol. I just think their approach to the RB position is super duper bizarre.

If they wanted a first round RB to just sit around, they should have just asked us for CEH.

Lions' ownership is sexually aroused by wasting the careers of talented running backs.

I'm guessing they have a plan for him down the line, but Campbell just likes veterans back there. He kept playing Jamal Williams over Swift, too. Now look what Swift is doing in Philly.

Overall it looks like they had a pretty incredible draft, Brian Branch and Sam LaPorta look like absolute studs.

Swift had been in the league for 3 years at that point!

People kept saying oh they aren't using Swift because he isn't that good, or he's soft and gets hurt...Swift moves on and leads the league in rushing they get another back that is fast and smaller with the same skillset and they treat him just like they did Swift..

Sounds like a Dan Campbell problem.

It's definitely a Campbell problem, he clearly prefers more of a between the tackles pounder. As long as they keep winning nobody will care, but having a talent like Gibbs being wasted is borderline criminal.

My guess is it was a Holmes pick and Campbell wasn't into him at all. Sucks when you're a GM and you get a stubborn coach who won't play a guy who should clearly be on the field. He's using him like a role player when really him and Montgomery's roles should be reversed.
