The Chiefs expect good things to happen in close games, opponents expect to make mistakes against them.

Absolutely. The players on both sides are believing the Chiefs are going to win and so they make it happen, whether consciously or subconsciously.

The analysis yields that on events when the highly skilled golfers were competing against Tiger Woods, their performance was considerably worse - with scores almost one stroke higher on average - than on events where Tiger Woods was absent. On the other hand, lower-ranked golfers are less or not at all affected by his presence. Brown notes that this could be due to the fact that the stakes are not as high for lower-ranked golfers to start with.

Cowherd always felt like a giant contrarian. Dude has doubted the Chiefs soooooooo many times over the years. And when the Chiefs prove him wrong, he comes back the next day like he always believed in them. I can never respect talking heads that don't own their shit.

I think he's a generally sharp guy who can be a contrarian and a bomb-thrower without being a drolling dipshit like Skip Bayless.

That's worth giving him some credit for.
