Metal Gear/Solid Snake Movie

So, today I learned they are possibly making a Solid Snake Movie, and I was pumped.

Metal Gear Solid was the first video game I loved on the original Playstation (that and Tomb Raider, of course) and the plot twist is still one of the best gaming moments I have ever had.

So, I was upset when I read that Oscar Isaac was set to play Solid Snake.

I was like, WTF? This will ruin the movie before it even starts. Oscar Isaac is a very capable actor, but he isn't Solid Snake. At all.

Then I started thinking about who I would want to play Solid Snake. The current "it" guy, Glen Powell, would make a pretty good younger-ish Solid Snake.

I don't know if Hugh Jackman can do a convincing American accent, but he might make a good older Solid Snake.

Then maybe guys like Scott Eastwood, although I always thought he might play Wolverine at some point. For the record, Hugh Jackman will always be my Wolverine.

Does anyone else have great memories of the Playstation One version of Metal Gear Solid, and if so, who would you like to see play Solid Snake?

I can't imagine any actor wanting to play a character that is essentially named " Erect Cock", and I'm a big fan of the games. The names are just unfathomably stupid.

It works for videogames made by wierd ass Japanese developers, but for a movie, there's no way you get non gamers on board with the zany shit from this series.

Oscar Isaac will probably be fine in the role. This poster putting him in the sneaking suit and bandana is pretty good.
