From NFL Mock Draft Database Sim 2/2/23
My Selections 18 Quentin Johnston WR | TCU 72 Darnell Wright OT | Tennessee 118 Keeanu Benton DL | Wisconsin 149 Cameron Latu TE | Alabama 167 Dylan Horton EDGE | TCU 183 Tyjae Spears RB | Tulane 186 Max Melton CB | Rutgers 215 Jonathan Mingo WR | Mississippi 219 YaYa Diaby EDGE | Louisville 227 Aidan O'Connell QB | Purdue 235 Mikel Jones LB | Syracuse 258 Brandon Hill S | Pittsburgh When Johnston fell I had to go get him. Then made a power play for Darnell Wright at the top of 3. A lot of unrealistic stuff here IMO BUT... I like a few players in this we haven't discussed much, especially Tyjae Spears, Max Melton, Mikel Jones, and Brandon Hill. Trades:
Spoiler!

Those trades are LOL.
I assume your tackles for 2023 in this scenario are Brown/Wright? |

And yes, Brown/Wright. I am kind of starting to feel the re-sign Brown, go get a playmaker in 1 and then grab RT in 2. Figure out alot of the defense in FA and mid-rounds. It's not like Veach can't at least maintain the D from this year. Add a guy like Arden Key at DE and maybe a NT like Greg Gaines and I'd be quite pleased. |

I just took BPA trying to create the best offense the league has ever seen. I think I achieved it with this draft

Patrick could average over 30 ppg with our second string offense with that draft.
Seriously though I *think* veach could load up on certain positions like WR in the draft, re-sign Wylie and let him compete with Niang and a middle round pick + sign a vet DE like he's done with Ingram (ok traded for him) and Dunalp. Realistically how could you not argue that team would be even better than this years super bowl team? |

That said, you could get some value at WR in every single one of those rounds. I don't think Veach does that but I wouldn't be opposed to 1st and 4th round WRs. |

Love doing mocks at this point as they're almost always ridiculous. For example:
Did a NFL one based on the assumption I was getting an RT in FA, they let me have: 30. Zay Flowers - WR 62. Calijah Kancey - DT 94. Will McDonald IV - DE 122. Sydney Brown - S 133. Isaiah McGuire - DE 167. Keondre Coburn - DT 197. Connor Galvin - OT 217. Andrei Iosivas - WR 219. Tyler Scott - WR 227. BJ Thompson - DE 250. Durell Nchami- DE/LB 258. Xazavian Halladay - RB Almost all of those seem ridiculous to me, but a fun exercise. That's a nose tackle, a bazillion WR types to play with, speed rusher and power rusher DEs, 3rd safety and a developmental OT. No chance of course, especially picks like Scott. |

What is with the NFL Mock Draft Database Simulator? I'd get down to the 5th or 6th round and people would be offering me 1st round picks the next season for them.

I've started trying to trade up in the 1st to the teens.
You've got Karlaftis, probably for the next decade. Go get another edge rusher and set your bookends for a decade. |

Got this beauty from the PFN Simulator. I'd say their rankings need adjusting soon...
30. Broderick Jones OT Georgia 62. Lukas Van Ness EDGE Iowa 94. Keeanu Benton DT Wisconsin 122. Wanya Morris OT Oklahoma 133. Trey Palmer WR Nebraska 167. Will Mallory TE Miami (FL) 197. Sydney Brown S Illinois 218. Mohamed Ibrahim RB Minnesota 220. Thomas Incoom EDGE Central Michigan 227. Riley Moss CB Iowa 250. Keion White EDGE Georgia Tech 257. Tyler Lacy DT Oklahoma State |
