I'm very underwhelmed at the RB room. Like its the only part of the team that does nothing to excite me. I like the potential and fun Reid might have with Rees-Zammit, and Pop has been great, but is anything happens to Pacheco we are 100% ****ed.
The good news is that Andy would probably say screw it with the new receiving talent on the team and let Mahomes throw the ball 50 times a game, and that works we are set at LT, but we're not. Soooo.... I guess I'm saying I'd feel better with McKinnon on team. I know many of you celebrated CEH so not being absolute shit last year, but the dude is still slow, heavy footed, and gets caught from behind. I also have zero faith he could flll Pacheco's shoes if necessary. |

I'd be kicking the tires on Elijah Mitchell or Jeff Wilson if they get cut.

The RB I would be eyeing up if he gets cut is Pierre Strong Jr from Cleveland. Cleveland's RB room is loaded with Chubb, Jerome Ford, Nyheim Hines and Donta Foreman. For the life of me I don't understand how Pierre Strong isn't a high value backup.

Crow and Duncan, I'm curious why you have us with 6 LB's on the roster. How often are we running 3 LB's on the field? Crow, wouldn't it be better to maybe run 5 LB's and carry an extra WR or TE? Duncan, maybe have us with an additional OL? I thought we usually carried 10 OL guys during the season?

Mostly a ST thing. With the new rules I’m thinking you probably want one more LB rather than a DB on kickoffs.

I agree. I think five linebackers instead of six. And I think we will end up needing to sign a veteran offensive tackle. Probably bring Donovan Smith back.

An article I read today I talked about Smith Schuster probably getting cut by New England. Would we want to add him to our WR room, or a stick with what we’ve got. given the speed we already have. I think he would be an improvement on Hardman, assuming his knees are OK.
On the RB front I think adding either Wilson or Mitchell would make sense and there may be another team that could cut a running back. That would be an improvement over what we have. But I am hoping LRZ and his rugby background will be a pleasant surprise, although he will obviously be a risk in terms of blocking. |
