We owe Wanya Morris an apology
Didn’t realize just how bad it could be without him and boy was it bad.
Say what you want but the kid is a functional LT that is getting better. It’s hard finding average LT’s but I’d say he’s pretty damn close to average and that’s okay. He’s the same caliber as Donovan Smith to me but he’s young and not falling apart. Say what you want guys….getting a functional starting LT that is steady and not a bust at the end of rd 3 is an A+ draft pick. Believe the hit rate in rd 3 is roughly 15% so getting this type of value is a big value to us. |

He sucks.
It's just that Kingsley sucks more. |

I am worried about the dude’s knee. If we can’t rely on him to hold up then it’s still worth seeing who else is out there, in my opinion. Wisniewski ended up getting up to speed in plenty of time to be a factor in our Super Bowl.

Extrapolate his pressures from games starting at OT so far over a full 17 game season and it's over 60. That's genuine worst in the league starter level.

He was top 5 in pressure % given up. I don’t see any notable difference between Smith and Wanya tbh. Well except Smith is old and falling apart.

Donovan Smith never completely wrecked a game like Wanya has before. Wasn't just a one off either, his performance in the most recent Raiders game was nearly as bad as the debacle last year.

Got his ass whooped badly in the SB too. Killed like 3 drives.
Smith wasn’t good last year. He was actively getting penalties and ****ing up. And yeah Wanya has been horrific against the Raiders for some odd reason but whenever hasn’t played them he’s been about the same as Donovan Smith in my eyes

Or better yet...how many good LT's are there in the league? Not saying he is a quality guy...but those are few in this league honestly. |

Finding a quality OT after the draft would've been near impossible. Finding one better than the duo we currently have protecting Mahomes blindside is a different story.

I’d prefer he rack up two holding penalties a game than Kingsley giving up two expressway sacks to 15 while Wayna’s out with his knee.

Right now Wanya would ideally be a swing tackle. He's adequate in spot duty and won't tank the game plan every game he's in. Suamataia shouldn't even be a game day active how he's currently playing.
