Chiefs defensive improvements after eight games

Chiefs have made strides. We just need to keep getting a little better and get healthy. Flame away.

Legit improvement will be when they can make a clutch stop and get off the field in a situation like the last 5 minutes of the game vs. Green Bay.

This. All I really care about are situational stops. Rankings are all fine and dandy for internet fodder but at some point the defense is going to have to make a stop with 4-5 minutes to play. They've had three chances in 8 games and have yet to do it.

This. The chiefs are forcing teams to the same number of punts (3.4 per game) as last year. We haven't really improved when it comes to stops.

This is more to my point. Honestly though, I didn't realize it was that much. That Denver game must have brought the average up.

Games are condensed now with fewer possessions, though.

This team has shown massive improvement on defense in the secondary and stopping big plays.

They just need to clean some things up on run defense and fix the LB issue in coverage.

For next year, we should be able to get a good starting LB at the end of the 1st round.

This. Plus I'd like to see what is the TOP comparison.

There is improvement over last year. You can definitely see that. But it's still not good enough.

In the Packers game, the Packers had the ball for a total of 33 minutes, the Chiefs about 27.

Is there an easy way to just do comparative defensive stats over the last two games? I would think those would be interesting to look at?
