I have made my decision..

I have made the decision to go ahead and have my surgery. It will be having it in February. I have already been cleared for it. I am going to use my tax check to pay up my bills. I am nervous.

Has anyone on here had decompression surgery on the L5 and S1? I would like to know what its like when you go home and how well it releived your pain. Or if you had problems after surgery that ended up making you regret having it to start with.

Input will be helpful as I am very scared.

Those I will keep. He has me on 7.5 Percocet every 6 hours right now. Don't know what they will give me after surgery.

Of all the stuff they gave me, I like percocet and norflex the most. I loved oxycontin at first, but it turned itself against me.

After being higher than a motherfucker for 8 hours straight, everything else kind of loses its wow factor. I can TOTALLY see how people get addicted because even now to this day there is nothing in the world that compares to that feeling.

Percocet is the same feeling except not as intense or long lasting. When I take Oxy, though, I start crying because I'm so happy, and writing poetry about how beautiful the world is. Oh, I've had Oxy too. It didn't do anything like that to me, but it did make me have really vivid dreams.

Well, I can attest to that as I mentioned earlier. Oxy does rock. But, like all intoxicants, it does come with its fallbacks. I have a friend of mine who's a pharmacist and he said, quote, "that sh*t ****s up your brain's mechanisms..."
