Royals is a guy I keep coming back to as just a letter perfect X for this team.

I don't know that they'd use ANOTHER 2nd rounder on him with Brown back in the fold and I don't think they're getting him in the 3rd (may not get him in the back of the 2nd). But he just looks a lot like what they want from that spot.

Egbuka as well. They want a little size, but not a super big guy. They want speed through cuts. They want intelligence and physicality and they want someone who's willing to work when the ball isn't coming his way.

Royals just looks like that guy to me. I really could see them taking him with that late 2 or Titans 3 if he's there.

Lots of DL available that fit the molds we seem to look for as well. Shemar Stewart is a Spags wet dream, IMO. Scourton and Landon Jackson will turn their heads as well. Tuimoloau is right there with 'em.

And as mentioned in the Mock thread - Jared Ivey looks like a dream scenario for with their late 3 if he made it that far. I think they would consider him with the Titans 3 if they hadn't picked up an edge yet.

LB is a position I'll think they'll grab someone in the 3rd or 4th round -- Stustman maybe? I think they'll really like Demetrius Knight but I don't think he'll be there at a spot they're going to want to take him (I don't think they go LB until late 3 or 4 -- I think he's long gone by then). But I don't think it's impossible that they grab him with their 2nd depending on the board. He'd be a fascinating long-term fit at Sam.

Derrick Harmon, Jalen Royals, and Bayshul Tuten just feel like they were born to be drafted by the Chiefs.

And now that I've jinxed it, I've all but guaranteed they will all be drafted precisely one pick before our pick.

I read something about Kyle Monangai of Rutgers that made me think he was a type of player that Andy likes. It talked about how he was a quick study and was basically a quarterback at the running back position in terms of his play knowledge.

He's one of my guys. Love his mentality and approach to the game. One tough bastard.

As for this thread, I'll toss another name into the hat - Kaimon Rucker, DE/EDGE, North Carolina. Love his motor and tenacity. I just...I don't know...he just seems like he's a Chief already. Just a gut feeling.

I am becoming increasingly confident that one of Harold Fannin Jr or Jalin Conyers will be a Chief.

One of the biggest problems the Chiefs had last year was explosive playmakers. They just didn’t have any outside of Worthy. They were painfully slow and couldn’t break tackles or get YAC. I think that Andy needs these guys badly, especially with Rice in doubt.

I think these guys represent what we need, especially if they can’t get a WR they like. Elite level athleticism in the first 20 yards. And yeah I get they aren’t tall, but Noah Gray is 6’3” and Brent Celek was a tick under 6’4”.

I think Conyers is more likely, but man they need explosion in the worst way.

ESPN's recent mock has us taking Fannin with the third rounder from the Sneed trade. Do you think that's a good value at pick 66? Kiper has him rated as his No. 2 overall "fullbacks / H-backs" -- which I don't get if he is a tight end.

He absolutely would be the guy of he falls into range. Everything about him screams a Spags guy and he would bring some juice that the back field needs.
