Tamba Hali looks just like DT

With all the misery and aggravation we are suffering (again) as a Chiefs fan, one of the bright spots for me has been the transformation of Tamba Hali. When I see his quick move and bull rush with the big underarm movement getting around the corner just like DT used to do, it's one little bit of positive in a year of too many negatives. Hopefully next year he will only get better.

B.T.W. If I have to listen to one more Haley press conference after a bad loss starting out "I'm disappointed" and then every Friday before the game he talks about the greatest practice EVER, I'm going to puke! Be a man Todd and tell everyone the truth...you're PISSED OFF , THE TEAM SUCKED TODAY, AND TOO MANY PLAYERS DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PLAY LIKE A PRO DOES. The Denver loss was sickening on so many levels.

He has DT's heart, conditioning and work ethic.

That's about it.

It's pretty sad to think Hali might be our best player, actually.

While I'll take nothing from Tamba's preformance yesterday, he is no where near DT. No one will ever be that good IMO. Tamba would have to do what he did yesterday and average at least two sacks a game for the rest of the season just to show he's a legimate No. 1 pass rusher IMO. Otherwise we need to address the need during the offseason and maybe move Tamba to the other side.....

Tamba may suck in coverage and take himself out of run plays, but until he dissapears in a playoff game, please don't compare him to DT

I think Hali is a very average player. Our passrush still sucks. He has his moments where he could beat OT's around the edge and get to the quarterback or draw a lot of holds. However, I've seen a lot of times where he gets stood up by either a TE, RB or FB. My point is, he shows flashes of inconsistency. And because of that, I don't think he'll ever develop into an elite, or dominating passrusher.

If teams are lining up their TE's, or RB's against him then that speaks high volumes of what opposing teams think about him. I don't think he possesses the speed to be an elite passrusher. DT had the speed, and his timing off the snap was unreal. Hali doesn't have those same attributes. In fact, its not even close.

I'll say this - I think it was the Oakland game where he had the grey shirt sticking out from under his jersey. Maybe it was Baltimore.

During that game, watching the way he moved and how he made the swim/swat move, he did remind me of DT. Not in terms of ability, but in how he physically appeared on the field.

Now obviously he isn't as good, but his movements and how he looks in pads actually do remind me of Thomas.
