Wife watched some deal on TLC about that. Pretty creepy. Her upper body is CRAZY thin because she never eats calories because her legs will grow more.

I didn't catch all of it but they were talking about surgery or something.

Her upper body is crazy thin because her legs leech the nutrients and calories. IIRC, she eats like a horse but can't keep up with what her legs are consuming. The docs say if she doesn't have them amputated, it'll eventually kill her by putting so much strain on her system.

She was looking into it, but because of how the bones and everything are jacked up, if she gets the amputations she will never walk again, even with prosthetics. She values her independence too much, and won't do it until she absolutely has to.

I think I'd have the aputation and hire someone to push me around.
