General comment about the draft.......

Who else believes this period of the NFL is more nerve racking than the regular season?

I'm believe it is because once the team is on the field you'll see the finished product. If they suck or not at least you know where they are.

I think it's more annoying than the regular season. It's two months of guys on the web masturbating until the pics are finally made, followed by a couple more days of verbal pud-pulling and then the OTAs start.

I stopped caring around mid November.

I'll care again on draft day.

Not a chance. You wouldn't be saying that if the Chiefs were in the playoff hunt or legit Superbowl contenders.

That's more exciting, this deals with the unknown.

I think this is one of the most intriguing times in the history of the Chiefs.

New GM, new coach, and really, a new owner for all intents and purposes. We have nothing in their history to truly gauge what they will do on draft day.

This is their first draft as a collective unit, and the first glimpse for the fans as to how they will build the team.

I think the reason it is more nerve racking is because we have 61 days left to sit and consider who the Chiefs will draft.

At least free agency is coming up in less than a week, so we will at least get some bump there, and something to take our mind off the draft for a week or two.

I think there are plenty of guys who change teams and play better. They just aren't as known as publicized as the free agent busts.

I find it more exciting for one reason.
This is the time that I get to find out about players that I normally wouldn't take a second look at. In past Chiefs drafts I've always watched the first day and then not really gave two shits about the second day. Now I spend more time watching the second day and looking to see who goes where because I've paid attention to these guys.

Actually.....just wait....FA will only make the draft talk worse. We'll sign a RT and EVERYONEs mock draft will change. We'll bring in a veteran QB and everyone will scream that we're drafting one in the 7th round. We'll sign a LB and everyone will get mad because people will think that we're not taking Curry.

It's only going to get worse.

Good point, You will see this board swing from one draftees junk to the next... It will get reeruned before things settle down for OTA's...
