There's a lot I'd like here. I've wrestled with whether Conerly is a good pick given he likely won't help immediately, I think ultimately I'd take him. Not sure I'd love moving up but again i can see the necessity. It's a gamble but getting that LT potentially locked in is a hard thing to pass on.
Love the Collins and Williams picks and all the R7 ones (though I don't know the last guy). I think playing the numbers game on the secondary has served us well and makes sense. On Stutsman and Sanker I'm a little torn. LB and S feel like areas we could absolutely need investment, and I agree those 2 feel like perfect fits...but, I'm not convinced there won't be better options covering guys deep, which feels like the glaring hole we have. Guys like Bowman and Mukaba (though I suspect he goes earlier). Probably zero chance Spags likes them given their tackling, but it'd probably be my preference. Sanker would be fine though. I feel like Stutsman would be a great eventual replacement for what we have, which would have value, rather than a complementary piece. I suppose the only thing I'd be a little bummed about here is the lack of an edge. I really don't like our DE room. I mean, it's fine, but it's painful watching our pass rush . I'd be pretty happy with this though. Feel like our both our defense and offense get better and there's a nice mix between current and future needs met. |

Crow, have you considered the possibility of Veach taking TWO OTs in this draft, given that Moore is essentially on an expensive 1-2-year tryout deal and Taylor is likely gone next year? If so, how would you maneuver in the draft in that scenario? Connerly, Simmons, or Ersery early and maybe a Brown, Grant, Travis, or Vinson later?

While I am fine with this, I can't really see the Chiefs trading up to take a tackle after signing Moore.

The first two rounds nail the draft for me. Love the whole thing though.

Can’t complain too much here.
I don’t love LT in the first, but absolutely understand it. Couldn’t be mad at picking Conerly, especially if he magically falls to 31. My only disagreement would be going RB with one of those thirds instead. I like Stutsman, it feels like we could get a damn good back there.

I really like Esa Pole from Washington State, who the Chiefs had in for a visit, more than maybe I should. He's got that swing-tackle look to him. He's so new to football and already looks pretty solid that I think he can develop a lot more and maybe turn into a gem. I think we'll have to see how the board falls |
