Life Pain meds. - Page 2

My pain clinic doctor changed my meds yesterday. I was taking 7.5 percocet and he changed it to 15mg. Roxycet, I only take one every 12 hours instead of one every 6 hours. The roxycet makes me sick even half of one kinda makes me sick. I understand they are twice as strong but I have been on pain meds long enough you would think I would have a tolerance built up, and sick my reasoning that 1/2 of a roxy would be the same as a 7.5 percocet I would have the same reaction, but no I get sick.

Has anyone on here taken them? How did you react to them if you have.

Yeah, definitely call your doc. There's a thread from a few days ago addressing this very issue. Go through that a little, it has some good suggestions.

Yea, if you had no medical background I might understand your confusion.

you should know every med has the potential to make you sick. But if it does then it means there is a problem with your body accepting it, you should know this.

In that case, then you call the Dr.

Sorry but I'm having a VERY HARD time understanding this line of questioning coming from you, as you're suppose to have a little medical knowledge?

I am a CNA, I do not deal with meds. I don't start to nursing school till May 3. I do bedpans and get orange juice.

Sorry but ignorance is not a defense, I've seen it to many times and you might say it pisses me off.

So since you're JUST A CNA, if you had a patient that got sick from their meds and you noticed it, you wouldn't bother to call their Dr, or at least the Dr's Nurse?

Who pissed in your cornflakes tonight? I know my job, yes I would tell the nurse . I will call the dr. If all you got to say is smart ass shit just don't bother reading my threads.

I had 2 before my surgery and it didn't help. There was a bone spur grown around the nerve, he said it was shaped like a hour glass and the center had my nerve compressed, the dr said it had to have been that way for years, my legs started hurting back in 2005. Thats why he said it may be permenant damage. He said if I hadn't have had the surgery I could have ended up in a wheel chair, so I guess compared to what could have happened I can live with the pain. ( guess I won't have a choice)

I usually only take Percocet when I'm drinking wine and limit myself to three pills and a single bottle of wine. If I'm sticking a Fentanyl patch on, it's strictly beer only. People can die from mixed drinks and fentanyl. Only a dumb shit does jagerbombs while wearing a patch.
